Could you introduce yourself?
I am a Chinese researcher/dentist once studied for my master program in Sun Yat-sen University in China. After 4 years’ Ph.D. program in Tohoku University Graduate School of Dentistry, I went back to Hospital of Stomatology, Guanghua School of Stomatology, Sun Yat-sen University in China to continue my career. The experience here is very precious to my life and career.
Why did you choose Tohoku U Graduate School of Dentistry?
As once an undergraduate dental student, I was thirsty for more knowledge. Tohoku University is a great research university all over the world. Of which the Graduate School of Dentistry has numbers of well-known professors, and various advanced equipment. Here I can pursue my dream and fulfill it.
What did you achieve at Dentistry?
Several SCI articles and scientific research funds. Thousands of successful clinical cases.
What was your impression of our university campus and Sendai?
Sendai has lots of trees, so that the air is clear and the environment is beautiful. When I felt upset, I would walk along the street, go to the park with a locomotive between Seiryo Campus and Kawauchi Campus, sit down, close my eyes, listen to the bird singing and take a deep breath of fresh air, which would comfort me a lot. It is a quiet city that is quite suitable for scientific research.
Did you receive any financial support during your study?
Scholarship from China Scholarship Council (CSC), President Fellowship from Tohoku University.
What did you acquire at Tohoku and what helped you with your
further research and career?
As a doctoral student here, I learned not only how to design an experiment and write an article, but also how to cultivate the ability of independent thinking. From then on, I started find the essence through the phenomena.

Tohoku University Graduate School of Dentistry is a great place for you to explore the dental world of unknown. The professors here are very kind and knowledgeable, and willing to offer help anytime. Cherish the time here or you would find how time flies. Whether studying or living here, it would be a good memory of your life, and contribute to your career.
