Prof. Shu-Fen Chuang and Lab Members visit the Graduate School of Dentistry

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, we welcomed Prof. Shu-Fen Chuang and her esteemed lab members from the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, to the Tohoku University Graduate School of Dentistry. The delegation comprised nine members, including assistant professors, research fellows, and master students.
Prof. Shu-Fen Chuang, a distinguished professor at the School of Dentistry and the Institute of Oral Medicine and Chief of the Section of Operative Dentistry Department of Stomatology at National Cheng Kung University, led the visit. The day began with introductions by Prof. Shu-Fen Chuang and Prof. Guang Hong from the Graduate School of Dentistry, providing insights into each institution's missions and ongoing projects.
Following the introductions, a meeting was held to discuss future ideas, research opportunities, and potential academic collaborations. The fruitful meeting was a significant step towards strengthening the ties between our institutions and fostering a collaborative research environment.
The visitors were then given a comprehensive tour of the Graduate School of Dentistry and the Tohoku University Hospital. This tour showcased our cutting-edge facilities and the innovative work being conducted here.
We enjoyed engaging in discussions throughout the visit and shared a mutual enthusiasm for future collaborations. The day was marked by the creation of strong bonds and a shared vision for advancing dental research and education.
