Ph. D. Candidate Hazem Wins the JADR/GC Young investigator Award 2022

At the 100th International Association for Dental Research (IADR) General Session & Exhibition held online in June 2022, Hazem Abbas, a Ph.D. student at the International and Community Oral Health Department, won the “JADR/GC Young investigator Award 2022” for his research on “The Association Between Toothbrushing Habits and COVID-19 Symptoms”. This epidemiological study raises the argument that there might be a microbial pathway explaining the association between the time and frequency of toothbrushing and COVID-19 infection.
