Three students from University of Dundee, Scotland, UK visited the School of Dentistry

From July 29th to August 2nd, three undergraduate students from Dundee University in Scotland, United Kingdom visited the school of dentistry to implement their oral surgery elective course at the oral and maxillo-facial surgery department in Tohoku University hospital. During their course they observed 5 different Oral and Maxilla-facial surgeries (OMFS) ranging from maxillo-facial reconstruction to oral cancer treatment surgeries as well as orthognathic surgeries under general anesthesia. They also attended some dental related lectures of the CA+inD summer program and interacted with the Japanese and international students in the school of dentistry about clinical dentistry as well as dental research and education. In addition, to have the full experience of Japan, they experienced Japanese culture during the program by visiting Matsushima Bay Area.
