Ramadhan Hardani Putra

My name is Ramadhan from Indonesia. I enrolled doctoral course program from 2017 at division of advanced prosthetic dentistry with MEXT scholarship and graduated in 2021. Study abroad is one of my childhood dreams and I am very grateful to get an opportunity to fulfil my dream in the one of the leading universities in Japan. As you may know, Tohoku University is #1 University in Japan according to Times Higher Education and I can say that it has great environment for international community. Not only that, but Tohoku University also located in Sendai, which is known as city of tree, so you can enjoy very fresh and clear air every day. In my personal experience, I live with my family in Sendai and all of us have a really nice daily life experience. Even the university provide dormitory for student who planned to stay with family and its an enjoyable place to live.

I learned and achieved many things during my study, such as research, writing, and presentation skills, under supervision from supportive supervisors and colleagues, supported with advanced research facilities. Division of advanced prosthodontics also have several collaboration research with another research field, therefore, it expands my horizon and mindset to work collaboratively with “outside world” of dentistry. The collaboration research also extended internationally with world class universities across the world. I got an opportunity to work as a research assistant in collaboration with Tohoku University New Industry Creation Hatchery Center, which was focused on the potential of newly developed tool that can be applied in dentistry. I also joined several international conferences and international collaboration workshop to present the result of my research. All of these experiences are essential for my future and career. I am proud and grateful to be a part of Tohoku University Graduate School of dentistry. I believe that you will also get many valuable experiences, both in academic and non-academic life. Finally, those beautiful moments and memories will stay in your life for a long time.
