Hazem Abbas received the IADR Lion Dental Research Award

Hazem Abbas, a PhD candidate of our graduate school (Division of International Oral Health) received the IADR Lion Dental Research Award in the 99th General Session & Exhibition of the IADR. His study title was “Does Remaining Teeth And Dental Prosthesis Associate With Social Isolation? A prospective cohort study from Japan gerontological Evaluation study (JAGES).”

The Lion Dental Research Award is intended to support improvements in oral health sciences through the stimulation of junior researchers, by the recognition of the outstanding and innovative research in basic dental sciences for the improvement of the public's dental health, and the recognition of applied research achievements for improvement and development of oral care products for the prevention of oral diseases. The IADR receives awards' applications from the young investigators in addition to their submitted abstracts. The Lion Dental Research Award is are made possible by a generous donation from the Lion Corporation, Tokyo, Japan.
